Brigham Young University is an exceptional school! I am currently studying wildlife and wildland conservation, and I have had more opportunities to immerse myself in my studies than I expected. The teachers I have had for both general and major classes are extremely passionate in what they teach, making it more encouraging to learn. Within my major, teachers have provided opportunities to go on field trips related to what we're studying as well as kept us updated on research and job opportunities related to wildlife and wildland conservation that are available. They have shown a great deal of care for their students, which is something I know has helped me feel more comfortable in asking for help.

I would love to see added diversity to the university. It is predominantly Caucasian, and I believe adding individuals from other backgrounds will greatly benefit the inclusivity across campus, allowing a more holistic educational experience. Also, BYU needs energy drinks on campus! Who doesn't need a Monster at 10pm studying for a General Chemistry final? It is a vital necessity to add to campus. The resources at BYU are remarkable. The ability to develop truly strong relationships with professors, one-on-one, is not to be understated. It is a special opportunity that many do not have in their respective universities.

I love BYU! Living right at the foot of the mountains is the best. I'm super into running and hiking, and the trails here are perfect for that. It's also a great location for those into winter sports. The campus is in great shape because they keep updating the facilities. In recent years, they've opened up some new places to eat in the last few years, and there’s always something good to try. Housing has been pretty chill for me too. I recommend staying on campus freshman year, it's a great experience. Off-campus I heard that some landlords can be tough, but I've lived at 3 different places with no issues. There are also so many clubs and activities to get involved in. The professors are caring and inspiring. Plus, the connections you can make at BYU are a big plus for starting out your career.
