Arguably, building a time machine is the only other way to get a low-mileage, unmodified, survivor-quality 1984 Porsche 944 like this one.

We are proud to announce that the McLaren 750S has been listed in Man of Many's top 100 products of the year! This is a testament to our relentless pursuit to beat benchmarks and underscores the awe-inspiring capabilities of the McLaren 750S.Here's what Man of Many had to say:"McLaren said “stuff a mid-cycle update” and released the 750S ($585,800 plus on-road costs) to the world with 30 per cent new parts, more power, and subtle additions in the looks department. The end result is a bonkers top-trumps destroyer. The numbers jump off the page, starting with the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 750PS and 800Nm in a car that weighs 200kg less than a Ferrari 296GTB at a feather-light 1,277kg. It’s backed by a 7-speed transmission that gets revised ratios for faster acceleration which results in a 0-100km/h time of 2.8 seconds. Under the skin, new generation linked-hydraulic suspension with lighter springs and dampers while the electro-hydraulic steering set-up gets a faster steering rack. We’re not sure where McLaren is planning to take the next ‘LT’ model but we’re assuming it’s space."Experience the extraordinary with the McLaren 750S.Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gDTJmFa7#McLaren #McLaren750S #ManofMany100

Now in its third edition, we take a closer look at the Porsche market and look out for models that may appreciate. Of course, the whole thing is – as always – highly speculative. Especially as returns can also be expressed quite subjectively in the form of driving pleasure. Instead of determining our 2024 Porsche investment picks solely on the basis of possible speculative gains, our initial focus is on driving pleasure without depreciation. If the object of desire even increases in value – all the better!#porsche #market #elferspot #cars

GroundbreakerSD: The Porsche 928 was the first sports car to win the prestigious European Car of the Year award. For an award that usually goes to affordable mass-market cars, this was a huge achievement, although in reality sports cars often stand a better chance than you might think. The Ford Mustang, Jensen FF, Citroën SM, Fiat X1/9 and Vauxhall Calibra all narrowly missed out on the honour, and the Alpine A110 came joint first with the Jaguar I-Pace in 2019 on voter points, although the Jaguar took the crown on a technicality as more of its points came from being nominated at the top of voters' lists, whereas the A110's came from a wider pool of second-preference votes. But what put the Porsche 928 over its rivals in 1978, the BMW 7-series and Ford Granada? Aerodynamics, and very futuristic styling which genuinely doesn't look old-fashioned today and includes the body-coloured integrated bumpers you now find on pretty-much everything goes some way to explaining it. But more seriously, is its torque tube.As well as providing great handling balance with a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox counterweighting the engine up front, the torque tube that surrounded the propshaft turned the car's mechanical elements into a safety feature. With the engine and gearbox essentially bookending the passenger compartment, the torque tube ensured that the shock of a severe front- or rear-end impact bypassed the passengers and went to the opposite end of the car instead.Throw in the passive rear-steering oversteer-counteracting Weissach Axle too, and the 928 was a car that was as safe as it was exciting. This is just a personal opinion, but I actually prefer it to the 911 Turbo that it shared joint billing with at the top of the Porsche hierarchy in 1978.

1987 Porsche 924S | $15,500.00Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1987 Porsche 924S. The 1987 Porsche 924S, was a major step up after Porsche fitted its most-affordable sports car with the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine as the 944, just slightly detuned. The suspension also was improved. The reason for the 924S engine upgrade was twofold: to bring more power to the 924, naturally, but more so because VW had decided to stop manufacturing the 2.0-liter engine, leaving Porsche in the lurch. This 924S is painted in white and is driver quality.Read More:https://lnkd.in/gYngkRrTVisit our Porsche Showroom for more cars for sale:https://lnkd.in/gHk3QBtP#TuesdayMorning #TuesdayFeeling #TuesdayMotivation #classiccarsforsale #classiccars #supercars #porsche #porsche924s #classicporsche #porschecollectors #porscheforsale

What's The Difference Between A Sports Car, A Supercar, And A Hypercar?https://lnkd.in/erDRe_kiIs it even possible to define these concepts? What is a supercar? The question sounds simple enough, right? We automatically assume just about anything with an exotic badge is a supercar, so a Prancing Horse on the hood or a Raging Bull is automatically a supercar. And yet, a Porsche 911 isn't, despite the fact that a 911 Turbo S can easily go toe-to-toe with Ferraris and Lamborghinis. So where do we draw the line between sports cars and supercars, and when do hypercars enter the chat? After all, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS is faster around the Nurburgring than a Pagani Huayra, and yet the latter is unanimously considered a hypercar. It's a complex situation to decipher, as there is no official definition for these cars in the same way as there is for hatchbacks, sedans, and many other vehicle classifications. But, I'm going to try to break it down, or at least explain how it all works in my head.
